Picture perfect

With interest rates never out of the headlines, it’s a stressful time to buy or sell your property. Estate agents are as busy as ever, trying to make sure everything in your home is ‘picture perfect’ in order to catch a potential buyers eye.

It really is a buyers market at the moment, with everything being so unsettled anyone selling is on pins, hoping they get what they need / want for their property. Our friends felt like this as they talked to their estate agent about putting their house on the market. However they needn’t have worried. The estate agent put pictures of just one room on their website. That one room generated so much interest that the house was only on the market for a matter of hours.

Ever ready.

It is a gorgeous room, and one where the family gather every day. The pictures done it justice. It certainly doesn’t look too ‘lived in’ and the owners let us know that they think that’s because we decorated it. We decorated the entire house three years ago. We changed all wood work from gloss to matt, and all walls were fully prepped and finished with clean extreme scrubbable matt white in most areas.

Three years later this house still looks brand new, and it wasn’t like that when they moved in! Their impeccable taste coupled with our skill meant that a timeless design flows through the house leaving a fresh feel and clean lines, exactly what any house buyer is looking for.

Moral of the story?

This house is lived in, by a sociable family who regularly have gatherings. Food is cooked every day in this kitchen, in fact one of the owners is an avid baker! They even have a dog, and his friends visit too.

They got the best material applied by the best painters, looked after it well and 3 years later one thing they didn’t have to worry about when putting their house on the market was freshening it up.
