Full Moon behaviours.

We had a full moon last week.

If you are in the health industry, leisure industry or are slightly intuitive, you’ll have seen the difference this makes to people. Stress levels rise, A&E gets busier and everyone seems a little more emotional. At these times we need a safe haven, somewhere to go to feel secure, if we’re one of the lucky ones this is our home. Our surroundings have a significant effect on our psychology. If we don’t feel safe, clean and rested our well being can be jeopardised.

At Ardent Decorating we often hear thankful customers tell us how they should have made changes sooner, what a difference we have made to their home and that they look forward to walking through the door. This is the main reason we take such pride in the service we provide. Wether it’s a commercial or private space, it is important that you feel comfortable in your surroundings.

Decorators are the finishing trade, however it doesn’t always work out that way. We can also be the trade who have to tell you about leaky windows, damp, asbestos in the walls or a slight gas leak. We learn the signs when looking at staining in the walls, wall hangings lifting, even the woodwork. Through experience and knowledge we know that if these things aren’t fixed our work won’t have the finish either of us desire.

All of the above can also have implications on our health. Damp, draughts, asbestos and gas inhalation all be it on a very low level, can lead to chest and skin problems. If your decorator points these things out, please know it’s for you and not them. They know it will change, lengthen or cancel the work you’ve employed them to do, but if they are worth their salt they’ll let you know before they start. Their reputation and your well being is on the line. If they don’t point these things out, it’s time to get a new decorator!
