‘It’s the most wonderful time of the year’

It really is, but it can also quickly become one of the most stressful times too.

Instead of the normal opening gambit about the weather, small talk instead turns into ‘So you all ready for Christmas?!’

The general reply is ‘yeah getting there’, with a few honest ‘not at all, all last minute for me’. When really I’m sure the majority of us want to scream

            ‘NO SUSAN, I’m stressed out of my #*#s have no idea where I’ve put what I’ve gotten, or what else I have to get, I dunno who’s coming for dinner or their dietary requirements, I’m done!!!!’

We put pressure on ourselves to perform……

• To catch up with friends for drinks.
• Tour the markets, locally, nationally and now internationally!
• We have school fayres.
• School shows
• Christmas parties.
• pantos.
• secret Santa.
• The works night out.

All before Christmas Day!

Amidst all of this lots of people want their houses freshened up for Christmas or  New Year. Commercial properties take the opportunity of a close down to get work done. Nowadays trades are looked upon like a supermarket, with the expectation that they will only have the public holidays at most off. The industry really is going this way. As much as it means team Ardent have to power through the festivities with the thought of timelines and contracts never far from their minds, you can use this to your advantage!

You’ve worked hard all year, what is your free time worth to you? Is it worth the price of hiring a professional to take away the stress of decoration? Knowing they’ll get it right first time and be completely prepared.

The days of ‘getting the decorators in’ are becoming less of a luxury and more of a necessity. We all work hard, for longer hours, and more days, every year. Your own time should be just that.
