Transitioning from caterpillar to butterfly.
It’s been a big two weeks here at Ardent decorating! We feel that we are getting back to normal, well our new normal!
We managed a pretty traditional fathers day, but instead of going out for dinner, one of our favourite restaurants were doing take out!!
Our eldest son finished his primary school career yesterday. In very unique circumstances. He had more than his last term worth of curriculum taught to him by a rookie substitute teacher (me). Trying to create a new routine and teaching space at home was another transition. From mum to teacher back to mum. Dining table to teachers desk and back, every day has been no mean feat!
The government are announcing changes thick and fast! More transitions, I can barely get my head around it so have decided for the most part we’ll take this at our own pace…..surely slow and steady wins the race? In my eyes this race is ensuring I neither contract or transmit Covid-19. I want to win this race!
Our company has continually been transitioning over the years, solo trader to director of a company. One apprentice to a team of 6. Painting and decorating to painting contractors which now includes ames taping. As I write this David is outside lovingly cleaning his new ames taping bazooka. I have no idea what this is, but I haven’t seen him this happy in a long time!
Transitions don’t have to be negative, although we know many businesses have not survived this pandemic. Have a look around for the butterflies, they’re out there! Shed your cocoon and stand out proudly, ready to take flight!
We can redecorate a well used stand in school room, the house that you’ve been patiently waiting to buy or the business you are getting back to! We can all have a fresh start together.
