“Freedom lies in being bold”

If you’re a regular reader of this blog you’ll already know how much I love a wallpaper, the bolder the better, generally paired with a subtle paint shade to make sure it stays centre of attention.

I feel I may be doing paint an injustice. When applied correctly, a bold paint can pack as much of a punch as an intricate wall covering!

This weeks blog will also concentrate on a brand I don’t spend tonnes of time on, as I generally look for a back ground colour rather than main character. But Farrow and Ball have many bold ideas, along with their customers favourite, most subtle, elephants breath……

It’s easy to zone out in a home office, keeping your room bright will help you keep focused, and awake! You’ll find offices generally use bright colours or murals to keep brains active, this can be brought into a home office, if you’re bold enough.

Although a cosy living room is lovely, there’s nothing to say a strong colour would be out of place. Rich colours can be cosy too!

The hallway is often the first room a visitor enters. It’s good to leave an impression here. Paint can be dramatic and practical at the same time.

White can be bold! If it’s paired with a strong colour it’s taken out of the background and can bring the drama!

As an aside I noticed that farrow and ball are promoting painting your floors, and the effect is more than eye catching! Whilst I don’t doubt their expertise, I do wonder if they factored in a ‘lived in’ kitchen, pets, dirty boots and spills would have to be considered on any painted surface.

As long as you prep your surface properly and take the time to ensure enough and equal coverage, a bold colour can be all

you need to change the feel of your space.
