Over the past few years new year hasn’t been a big celebration for us, it might be the way of the world at the moment or it could be our age. Either way we tend to look to the year ahead rather than the party to start it.

Holiday time.
We had planned to start 2022 with a bit of rest and recuperation in Dubai…..

Covid didn’t allow this and with the current climate we are relieved it struck before we left rather than whilst we were there. There’ll be time for more holidays, going by the rules and staying safe made us all feel ok about it.

Using our time wisely.
The day we cancelled our holiday we all felt a bit down. Then before I even had to mention it, David suggested the possibility of getting our wall paper up (that’s been sitting since April ‘21) I have the best painter and decorator trapped at home with me, it would be silly not to make the most of it!!

Best treatment.
This is our 2nd bout of isolation. Both boys got covid just before Christmas, mine came as a happy new year! Our poor dog was so patient first time round, we decided it wasn’t fair to keep him in for another ten days. We packed him off to his own amazing holiday! With a doggy friend, beautiful family and beautiful surroundings, we know he’ll get all the fresh air and runs out that he wants.

Lynnemarie at Dunsmore’s dogs treats Hamish as her own, and he loves it there! We highly recommend her thriving business.
Killing time….
Whilst the boys play games and David and I are working from home. I’m doing a lot of cleaning, determined to make sure our house is covid free!

However, I’m off to see if David might have time to do our bedroom too!

We might have not gotten the New Year break we wanted, but we’re certainly getting the one we needed. Every cloud has a silver lining, if you look really hard.
