When we’re out to eat we’re always a little dubious if the food is served really quickly, you know, surprisingly quickly. Having gone through proper food poisoning I’m always a little wary. I don’t mind waiting for quality…..but is that the same in every part of our lives?
Inspiration.
When inspiration hits everyone wants it now. The Violet Beauregard in our heads stamps our feet and wants it right now!
Usually the adult in us tells us we have to wait, if we want something done properly we have to invest the time. Research, find recommendations, and often join a queue.
Life lessons.
If this past year (or over a year now) has taught us anything, it has taught us patience. Having no choice but to wait has tested everyone, and hopefully this understanding will stay with us.
We have a waiting list, as do most reputable companies. A good friend just the other day said ‘yeah you can get Jimmie down the road to paint your walls tomorrow, but is that standard really what you want?’
Learning curve.
It has taken years for us to have the confidence that people are happy to wait. There is nothing worse than us having to tell someone their plans will have to go on hold, or their project remain incomplete for a few weeks, because we can’t get there any quicker.
We could push on, and we have in the past. What we learned from that is that no one can deliver the best quality after 12 hours work, or on their 20th day in a row. We want your custom, believe me!! But we want to deliver a service you deserve.
Where are the painters?
You’ll have seen our adverts looking for painters, and you’ll probably have seen others. We aren’t trying to fill a vacancy, we’re trying to grow. We’re hoping to deliver more but we need the right tradespeople in our team to do this.
All trades are short at the moment. Demand is ridiculously high! We’re trying our best to keep our quality as high as the demand, and we appreciate our customers patience. We really do.
