Making your home the best place to spend your quality time.
Right now the world is an uncertain place. Brexit is done, the way forward is uncertain and with a virus becoming a pandemic, there are many reasons to be happy with a staycation this year.
If that’s your plan you’ll want your home to be somewhere you’re happy to spend your free time. With this years paper trends you can bring outside in and transform your space into its own work of art!
Decorators preference.
If you ask most decorators they will always favour paste to wall paper. They often don’t have a preference of the make of paper or the design. Ease of installation is what makes a paper hangable. If you find a paper you love, I’d recommend you take a sample and show your decorator it before purchasing the amount needed. The sample will be enough to show your decorator the quality and workability of the paper, ensuring the outcome you desire.

Trends for 2020.
In past blogs I let you know that gradiated, 3D and heavily patterned papers are on trend for 2020.
Researching these papers I’ve found a massive price difference, sometimes you absolutely pay for the name, which can come with greater quality, but sometimes that’s not the case. You can get great papers no matter your budget. Below I’ve listed different ideas at different price ranges, all on trend.
The sky’s the limit!
I have to start with some homegrown talent. The Timorous Beasties shop in Glasgow stocks an amazing array of papers, soft furnishing and accessories. Completely high end, but sure to make your space stand out.

Golden oriole wallpaper panels £1,080 each.

Ikat Damask wallpaper panel £700 for set of 6 panels.

Bloomsbury Garden wallpaper £300 per roll.
I found the Milton and king online shop have some beautiful papers, eye catching and absolutely on trend. If you want a room that could be in the ideal home magazine these papers would fit right in!

Kalder Design £117.60 per roll

Taking papering to new heights!
Top of your budget.
Another online shop, designer wallpapers, has beautiful pieces set to make your home a work of art, without just as much of an eye watering price per wall. Their inspirational papers show that you can transform a room, hallway or bathroom with the right texture and paper!

Mughal Garden £98 per roll

Antique mirror £90 per roll

Green wall £125 per roll.
Happy to be on trend and change with the fashions.
Our high street papers do us well and often hang very easily, lasting the pace. Taking inspiration from the designer heavyweights, you can find similarities with a lighter price tag. This means that if you like to change things up you can, without feeling that you haven’t had the return in investment of a higher priced paper.

Camiri wallpaper, Kingfisher £35 per roll

Boutique Sieta Gold effect textured wallpaper £22 per roll.

Boutique – blue/gold boutique Damaris demask wallpaper, £15.99 per roll.
You can see the gold antique surface effect has been popular in every price range. Showing there is something for everyone. With their less dramatic effect these papers can stay put, with other features around changing to create a new look.

This full house renovation was complete by Ardent Decorating last May. Gold tile effect paper from B&Q.
This weeks blog has become more of an inspirational wish list for me, and hopefully for you too! If you are looking to invest on a focal point for your space, make sure it looks it’s best by ensuring the best installation.
