When less becomes more.

In the past I’ve made arguments for bold being beautiful, for bringing your personality into a space through colour. This all still applies, but are you brave enough to go white?

Whitewash.

White doesn’t have to be a starting point, a fresh canvas. It can easily take centre stage. In the past white paint and wall paper was for the ‘good’ rooms in a home, the rooms that are only used for special occasions, to lessen the effects of sticky fingers, or paw/nose/tail art.

However, with so many scrubbable products on the market, we can be a little braver when it comes to white.

Gallery white.

There is a reason why some whites are named ‘gallery white’. Many if not all galleries have their walls white to ensure the artwork takes centre stage. Often white will put your own accent pieces into the spot light. Whether it be a piece or furniture, a piece of art, or a theme in a room. Having white in the background will bring focus to whatever you want to highlight.

Wall coverings.

With so many white papers out there now, you have a wealth of choice. Some with a hint of colour in them, and others with monochrome contrast that really brings the drama, and let’s face it we all enjoy a little drama in our lives (as long as it’s the right sort).

Fresh and clean.

A friend recently decorated her living room, she went from a grey/silver/white pallet to white and grey alone. You might not think that’s a massive difference, but she added in lots of green leafy plants. The difference this has made to her space is night and day! I’m sure she won’t mind me sharing a picture, as it’s her decorating that brought the inspiration for this blog!

We are now booking into he New Year, I can’t believe I’m even writing that! Being busy is fabulous, but being this busy puts us under pressure. We don’t like letting our customers down, so will endeavour not to.
If you can bare with us we promise it’ll be worth it.
