I read someone on social media thanking the guy he went to school with and a neighbour, for their opinions on how the country should move forward. He then went on to say he’ll still follow the advice of WHO and the government. It got me to thinking, who do we go to for the right advice?

In our lives we have many sources of information at our disposal. At the moment I’m sure we’ll all be realising who we go to for what reason, and why people come to you.

Personally I feel that people come to me as a soundboard, an assurance of their feelings and if they are appropriate. Often being explained as ‘honest to a fault’ you definitely know what you get with me. As well as that, with my nursing background I am often called upon to give an opinion on symptoms and rashes/bodily functions. It may sound a bit strange, but I’m happy to have this place in peoples lives.

Have you ever thought of what you are to others? Or who you go to for advice on different things?

I have people for both emotional well being and practical. Family and friends help us with baking, alterations/ sewing. Others for home repairs and advice on finances and insurances. We are lucky to have such help around us!

At the moment many people feel stuck, helpless and redundant. It’s a good time to acknowledge the people we depend on. Whilst doing this you will be reaching out to people and letting them know their worth.

Doing this will give you worth and brighten their day!
Whilst many people cannot work, we can still let them know their worth by asking their expert advise. Our closer contacts have done this with Ardent Decorating and it has made David feel useful being utilised.

So if you are at home and filling your time with DIY, call up your tradesmen, ask their advise! If they are worth their salt they will happily give it and wish you luck with the project you are undertaking!
We’re still here now, and will be after this is over. Always happy to help!!!
